Yes, I think it’s one of the ugly domestic variety of muscovy duck. I didn’t know mallards had crests. Nice pictures.

I’ve got a duck that comes by my creek that is mostly black with a white collar marking…
I call him a Tux Duck – though that’s probably not what he is. For a while he had a lady duck that was all white. It was a joy to watch them.
