Wild Bird Wednesday – 108

The recent blog post discussing an injured dove brought much sympathy for the creature.  The latest news is Skip, our name for the injured white winged dove, seems to be doing better.  Skip does not limp nearly so much.  The toes are spread out more.  My husband did observe on Saturday that Skip lets out a bit of a sound when he lands on the bird feeder.  Hubby thinks it may be the dove equivalent of ‘ouch’.  Never the less, Skip is improving a little each day.

Sharing this post with the wonderful birders over at Wild Bird Wednesday hosted by the terrific Stewart Monckton.

  2. It’s good to know that Skip is doing better, still must give him a little pain, poor Skip! Your pictures are beautiful, especially the second one where he sits so errect and proud looking. I hope he continues to improve.
    Regards from Portugal.
