Last week’s post was sharing some of the beauty seen in Wisconsin. Let’s continue that journey this week. This will begin in Mauston heading into the area of Wisconsin Dells then onto Madison for a couple of days.
Wildflowers and cornfields are a beautiful way to travel!
Now we are driving along the River Road about 1/4 mile from the Wisconsin River.
We arrived in the town of Wisconsin Dells and found the River Walk with a splendid fence!
Beautiful views of the river and surroundings.
Do love natures rock carvings!
Another view from the walkway.
Lovely flowers every where.
And the perfect place for a late lunch! Yummy food and beautiful views.
Time to move on down the back roads for more beautiful fences…
farms….
traffic jams caused by the crossing the road….
Flags at half staff to honor a Wisconsin soldier killed earlier in the week.
A little wild life on the road ….
And one last farm for today!
See you next week in Madison!
Thanks to host TexWisGirl, akaTheresa,

Unfortunately I do not live in the lush beauty you see in this post. I live in the humid subtropical area of central Texas. Hot, dry summers and mild winters.

Wonderful outing. The country side is so pretty. I think it would be awesome to take a river walk there. That was a very nice fence they had. Now as to the “wild life” on the road…hubby cringes when he sees riders without proper attire on cycles.

Yes, we cringe at no helmets. All I could think of with the topless look was a bad wind and sun burn on the body! This was our first trip to Wisconsin and were wowed at every turn at the lush beauty.

Great shots, Janice…I do enjoy your photos of fences…I think I like barns a bit more than doors…just love barns especially old crooked dilapidated ones.I use to beg my daughter to pain one for me.
